Wire-luffing Cargo Crane
The wire rope luffing crane is designed for general cargo handling and service on ships and offshore platforms.
When the space on the deck is large enough, the wire rope luffing crane is suitable. This type of crane is more cost-effective than the knuckle arm or telescopic boom type crane.
This crane is a reliable and effective general purpose offshore cargo handling crane suitable for ships and offshore operations. The crane is designed to accurately handle general loads at a variable radius, depending on the depression angle of the luffing boom.
The crane has a built-in electro-hydraulic power unit and a well-equipped operating platform in its standard version. The operating platform is located on one side of the rotating part of the crane. Wired or wireless remote control system is optional.
The crane is designed to comply with rules and regulations and can be delivered with the approval of most classification societies.
Structure:
Luffing system: the pitching of the boom is driven by the wire rope to realize the lifting operation of different amplitudes.
Lifting system: Single- or multi-rope hoisting design, which may include Active Heave Compensation (AHC).
Slewing system: Some crane designs include a slewing function to provide a full range of operating capabilities.
Control system: integrated power supply, signal acquisition, motion control, safety protection and monitoring and alarm and other multi-functional control systems, such as iCrane control system model.
Safety protection devices: including load torque indication, overload protection, emergency stop and limit switch, etc.
Performance:
Lifting capacity: Depending on the model, the lifting capacity can vary from several tons to hundreds of tons.
Working radius: The working radius can range from tens of meters to hundreds of meters, which can adapt to different operation needs.
Lightweight design: This lightweight design reduces the weight of the crane itself. Since the boom is hollowed, the resistance of the air can also be reduced during the working process
